Rob Carnie - We continue to look for a spot for the landfill. We know our long time landfill is reaching the end of its life. We got to get out of there and we've got to find a new location and nobody seems to want the landfill in their neighborhood, which is, I suppose, understandable.
But something's going to happen soon. Can you expand on that?
Maryse Carmichael - Yes, it is understandable and we fully understand, especially when we look at the current landfill, this current landfill has been there for 100 years and I invite all our residents to think about the future location as something totally different than what you see currently at our landfill.
So it's going to be a solid waste management facility. We're going to really manage the waste. It is our responsibility at the City of Moose Jaw to provide a place for this waste to go to and yes, so it's a project that's been ongoing for several years.
It's important for all our residents to understand at this current rate, we have a maximum of four years left at the landfill, so time is of the essence. We need to find a location for the future location, because of that, we are going with a three pronged approach: we're looking at three different locations at the same time and advancing them in parallel, two locations to the north of the city, and one to the southeast.
Of course, the southeast location as a peculiarity with 15 Wing there. Airplanes and birds don't always mix very well. Certainly to the south, the mandate for administration right now is to negotiate with 15 Wing and with NAV Canada on whether or not it's even possible to have a landfill to the southeast. So that's we're looking at that and then to the north of the city as well.
Rob - Okay, time will tell where it goes.
Maryse - Yes, and hopefully sooner rather than later.
