No one was injured following a collision on Wednesday morning between a train and a semi-truck.
The crash happened just before 7:30 a.m. on Highway 23, at Road 18 East near Dufrost in the RM of DeSalaberry.
RCMP say a semi-truck travelling west on Highway 23 attempted to stop from a train crossing but was not able to do so on time. The driver swerved into a ditch, avoiding a collision with the train. The driver, a 57-year-old male from the RM of Montcalm, was transported to hospital for precautionary measures.
Meanwhile, a second semi-truck hauling gravel collided with the back end of the train and caught fire.
The driver of that vehicle, a 53-year-old male from Winnipeg, was uninjured.
The train was able to continue on its route, and no other injuries were reported.
RCMP say heavy fog contributed to the crash.
St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP continue to assist CP Police with the investigation.
