RCMP seek public help after counterfeit gold sale in Warman

RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance after a report of counterfeit gold being sold in the Warman area.

Police say the incident occurred on Aug. 6, 2025, when a victim met with two suspects at a McDonald’s in Warman, believing they were purchasing gold valued at $27,000. The victim paid $8,000 for the items, which later turned out to be counterfeit.

The Martensville/Warman RCMP are asking anyone with information about the suspects to contact Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or submit an anonymous tip online at www.p3tips.com/206.

RCMP are also warning the public to remain cautious of counterfeit items being sold in the area.
