Luseland Police Service and Bell Acres Golf and Country Club are warning residents after rental golf carts at the course have sustained repeated damage this season.
Officials say the damage, though minor in each instance, has accumulated over time, resulting in significant costs for the club. Police note that willfully damaging property is a criminal offence, and charges may be laid against anyone responsible.
The golf club is reminding renters that they are responsible for reporting and paying for any damage. Members of the public who witness misuse or damage are encouraged to take photos or videos and report incidents to the club or the Luseland Police Service.
Bell Acres currently has only three rental carts, and club officials warn that continued damage may result in the removal of rental carts entirely.
For emergencies, residents are asked to call 911, and for general inquiries, the club can be reached at (306) 372-4844
