The Fall Leisure Guide for the Niverville Rec Centre is here, and it’s jam-packed with exciting programming for all ages, interests, and skill levels.

The Centre's fall programming will feature favourites from last season, including open gym, skating events, and pickleball. Additionally, Niverville’s Teresa Mistelbacher says they will be offering lots of brand new programs based on community interests, member feedback, and those who have offered to teach a skill.

“People connect through a lot of different activities, interests and skills and so while we do obviously have our fieldhouse here and we run sports for both youth and adults on the course, it is really nice to be able to offer recreation opportunities and ways to connect with peers even through things like arts and culture.”

The “Arts & Culture” activities will include programs like, “The Art of Improv”, “Ballroom Dance”, and “Traditional Medicine Stories”.

MORE PICKLEBALL!

After seeing a rise in popularity for the sport, the Niverville Rec Centre has added even more opportunities for people to play pickleball. There are daytime and evening options for adult pickleball, and intro, beginner, and intermediate level skills clinics. There will also be a pickleball tournament October 3-5 for all skill levels. The cost to play in this tournament is $70 per pair.

THE MEMORIAL FOREST

The Memorial Forest Program is a touching initiative that allows families to plant a tree in memory of a loved one. The town of Niverville supplies the tree, mulch, soil, and instructions, as well as a memorial plaque, and hosts an annual planting ceremony in Hespeler Park. In the past, the town has seen people travel from all across Canada and even the UK to attend the ceremony and commemorate their loved ones together. The deadline to register for this program is December 1st.

A WEEK OF FREE CLASSES

“Come Try It Week” runs September 7 to 13. Members of the community can come to the Rec Centre and try out classes they’re interested in for free, before signing up. The schedule for “Come Try It Week” can be found at the back of the Fall Leisure Guide: 2025 Fall Leisure Guide : simplebooklet.com
