The Saskatchewan RCMP have released their updated monthly list of wanted offenders and are asking for the public's help to locate them.

Five new individuals have been added to the list for August. According to the RCMP, these are offenders with active warrants who were last known to be in the province and are considered a potential risk to community safety.

One name on the list of still wanted suspects who has a connection to the southeast is Payton Desjarlais. Also known to go by the names Payton Marion Desjarlais and Payton Courtney Desjarlais, she is described as standing 5’7” and weighing 130 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. Desjarlais is wanted for two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes. She may be in Carlyle, Saskatoon, Wadena, or Fishing Lake First Nation.

You can find the complete list of the Top Ten Most Wanted and the Still Wanted on the Saskatchewan RCMP website.

The program has seen recent success, with police confirming that four individuals from last month's list have been arrested. The goal of releasing the list is to encourage tips from the public that can lead to more arrests.

Individuals are selected for the list based on a data-driven process using Statistics Canada's Crime Severity Index, which weighs the seriousness of their alleged crimes. The RCMP noted that factors like race, gender, ethnicity, or religion are not considered in the selection process.

Police are warning the public not to approach, contact, or try to apprehend anyone on the list.

If you have information about the whereabouts of any of these individuals, you are asked to contact the Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP (310-7257) or call 911 in an emergency.
