The City of Chestermere is moving ahead with improvements to local recreation spaces.

As part of council's plan, construction crews will be paving the Sunset Beach parking lot from Monday (Aug. 18) to Friday (Aug. 22).

The project is intended to enhance accessibility, safety, and comfort for residents visiting the lake.

During construction, temporary parking will be available along East Chestermere Drive. Residents will still be able to access their mailboxes.

Also, as part of the recreation upgrades, the city recently made an $8.2 million land purchase to support further recreation development.

The city thanks residents for their patience as the work is completed.
