Kindersley residents are happy to report they can use Main Street again, after the main artery was reopened to the public last week following just over two months of work.

The summer road closure was thanks to the town's watermain replacement project that began on June 2, a much-needed improvement with the old system growing in age.
Now homes and businesses along Main Street have access to a new and improved system that should clear up any operating concerns, all while being treated to a nearly 500m stretch of new pavement.

Even though the biggest project is complete, construction cones are still a common sight around town as light work continues. Lots of the work currently is of the daily variety with line painting, minor repairs, and more taking crews around town.
A bigger project was completed into April, a resurfacing project on 12th Avenue West that smoothed out a previously bumpy trip. That joined another big pave job off the residential roads that smoothed things over the local hospital, and manor parking lots.

More odd jobs will be continuing around town as the summer continues. If you are passing work crews, whether they are patching a hole or painting a line, be sure to slow down to keep everyone safe.
