School shopping can be a stressful event for parents. StrathmoreNow/Staff
Categories

A recent StrathmoreNow poll reveals that the majority of local parents wait until the final weeks of summer to tackle back-to-school shopping.

The poll asked residents how early they begin shopping for school supplies. The responses were:

  • One day to two weeks before school starts: 13 votes (39.39 per cent).
  • Two weeks to a month before school starts: 13 votes (39.39 per cent).
  • Right after back-to-school shopping ends: 4 votes (12.12 per cent).
  • One to three months before school starts: 3 votes (9.09 per cent).

The results show a strong preference for doing school shopping within a month of classes starting.

This trend may reflect busy summer schedules, budgeting concerns, or a desire to wait for updated school supply lists.
