A portal to the Middle Ages will be appearing in Strathmore this weekend.
Between Friday (Aug. 22) and Sunday, the Strathmore Medieval Faire & Artisan Market will be taking place at the Strathmore Agricultural Grounds.
This is the third year that the event has taken place in Strathmore, bringing in a variety of local vendors and events, from storytellers and dance lessons to jousting and armoured battles.
Attendees are encouraged to dress up in medieval garb to immerse themselves in the festivities.
There will also be plenty of events for the kids, hosted by The Red Stags. These include pool noodle jousting and a playful battle with a knight.
The event is always looking for more entertainers and vendors. Those looking to sell their wares at the market can contact the faire through their website.
Tickets at the gate are $14 for anyone over 13 years old, $11 for seniors and children, and free for children under six years old.
You can see a gallery from the previous years' festivities here.
