Residents of Biggar have a variety of activities and programs to participate in this week, with options for all ages, from toddlers to seniors.

The Biggar Library will host the Summer Reading Program Wrap-Up Party on August 23, celebrating the conclusion of its summer reading activities. The Family Centre will offer several youth-focused programs, including Teen Group and Toddler Craft Club on August 24, as well as Kids Craft Club and Tween Craft Club on August 26.

Weekly activities continue throughout the town. On Mondays, the Fire Hall hosts fire practice at 7 p.m., while New Horizons offers exercise classes at 9:30 a.m. and stitching at 1 p.m. The Museum’s archiving program is also available at 1 p.m., and Kaiser card games take place at 1:30 p.m. Pickleball is offered at Jubilee Arena from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Tuesdays feature New Horizons card games at 9 a.m., the Biggar Library Crochet Club from 6 to 9 p.m., and Fun League Bowling at 7 p.m. Wednesdays include more New Horizons card games, exercises, and Kaiser, as well as Museum art group sessions at 1:30 p.m., and the Town Hall senior walking and exercise group throughout the morning and early afternoon.

On Thursdays, residents can join New Horizons card games, the Biggar Library Quilting Club from 1 to 3 p.m., and evening Pickleball at Jubilee Arena. Fridays continue with New Horizons exercise and Kaiser programs, and senior walking and exercise sessions at Town Hall.
