The Rhineland and Area Foodbank needs our help once again but this time, it isn't for food or financial contributions.

Just over three years after relocating to a building on 4th Street SE., Ang Stoesz says they have six months to find a new home.

"(Sun Valley) Co-op was gracious enough to let us use the space until they were wanting to use it and now, they are ready for that," she explained.

Stoesz admits, having to move so soon after the last relocation is a bit discouraging.

"We were certainly hoping to be here longer, but we knew when we moved that it wouldn't be permanent."

'We live in an incredibly generous community'

Now, the Board of Directors is turning to the community to help find a new home for the foodbank.

"From my heart, I'm asking for just a little bit more support," said Stoesz. "I'm hoping somebody out there will see this and say, 'maybe I have a space. I'll call'."

Stoesz noted, they will need a fairly large space, adding the foodbank currently operates within 1,600 sq. feet.

"We could do with a little bit less, but we have three freezers, a huge cooler, desks and many many feet of shelving," she added.

For accessibility purposes, the new space also needs to be on one level. Access to an exterior door and bathrooms is also required.

If you think you might be able to help, you can call Ang Stoesz at 204-324-8139 or reach out to any other board member.
