Strathmore's Domino's Pizza is launching a back-to-school initiative for students and pizza lovers alike.

In addition to a chance to win a free pizza, Domino's is giving away 24 free backpacks to local schoolchildren in need ahead of the new school year.

"The start of the school year can be rough for many families. The cost of getting your kids ready for school can be overwhelming," Domino's wrote in a Facebook post.

To enter the free pizza draw, individuals must share and comment on the pizzeria's post about the backpack giveaway, an effort Domino's says is meant to raise awareness of the initiative.

"Our mission isn't just to make pizza — we're part of this community, and we're here to help whenever you need it!"

The backpacks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and include a notebook, colored pencils, glue, erasers, highlighters, pens, and a pencil sharpener.

Families in need are asked to contact the restaurant via Facebook Messenger and must be residents of Strathmore.
