“If you’re a parent and your kid’s bugging you to play football next season... Bring them down and you can see what it’s all about,” says Skyler Besser, head coach of the U16 team and board member of the Eastman Raiders.

Besser notes there are four age categories in the Raiders football program: U10 (Crunchers), U12 (Atom), U14 (Peewee) and U16 (Bantam).

“Next year, we’re hoping to have our U18 team ready to go,” he says.

Tradition touchdown

Raiders Day is an important tradition that unites the entire Eastman Raiders organization — from players and coaches to volunteers and sponsors.

“It’s kind of a day that brings us back down to Earth where we can just enjoy the day. It reminds us why football is so important,” Besser explains.

“We’re there to have fun, and it reminds us of that.”
