Foothills Advocacy In Motion (FAIM) has a new home in Strathmore.

The grand reopening took place on Friday (Aug. 22) at the new location, the former bowling alley on Westridge Road.

Several speakers attended the event, including Matthew, who has been a part of FAIM for several years.

"How does the new building make my program better? For one, it's closer to the 7 Eleven convenience store," joked Matthew, adding that his favourite parts of the building were the arts corners, the large kitchen area, and the open space in the back."

FAIM serves the area surrounding Calgary by supporting adults with developmental disabilities.

"I enjoy having an area dedicated to the clients with locker storage and space for our items."

The grand reopening also featured a community barbecue, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a cake-cutting ceremony.
