September long is approaching, and the last weekend of August means summer events are slowing down.  There are still events to attend throughout the weekend. Make sure you wind down the summer season with these celebrations.   

Here’s where we’ll be:   

St Malo Street Bash  

When: Friday, July 29th- Sunday, August 31st  

Where: St. Malo Street, St. Malo  

St. Malo Street Fest is back this year with three days of activities. Friday evening kicks off with food trucks, beer gardens, and fireworks. Saturday follows a parade, street hockey tournament, bouncy castles, music, and more.  Sunday closes off the celebrations with a pancake breakfast, lawn games, magicians, and more.

Fall on the Farm  

When: Monday, September 1st, 9:00a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  

Where: The Mennonite Heritage Village  

The first day of September brings Fall on the Farm to the Mennonite Heritage Village.  This celebration of harvest season holds pioneer demonstrations, hog butchering, and cultural food and performances. The event will have something for all ages, as children can enjoy wagon rides, a barrel train, an old-time candy booth, and a full day of activities.

Falcon Lake Fun Fest  

When: Friday, August 29th – Sunday, August 31st  

Where: Falcon Lake  

Falcon Lake Fun Fest has a ton of activities planned for the long weekend. This celebration brings carnival rides by Select Shows, street vendors, and fireworks. Pony Rides will also take place Saturday and Sunday from 1:00p.m. - 4:00p.m. Businesses and patios in the area will be open.  

 

Vita Friendship Center’s Pancake Breakfast  

When: Sunday, August 31st, 10:00am-2:00pm  

Where: Vita Friendship Center  

Vita Friendship Center is hosting a pancake breakfast this Sunday, and everyone is welcome. Breakfast will be $7 for adults, $4 for children ages 6-10, and free for preschoolers!
