The Saskatoon Hilltops and Regina Thunder each took a win on their home turf this past weekend, now set for a collision course as the Canadian Junior Football League's best rivalry returns to action on September 6 when the Thunder welcome in the Hilltops to Mosaic Stadium.

Back to Sunday, the Hilltops welcomed in the Winnipeg Rifles for a rematch after Winnipeg handed Saskatoon a season opening loss back in Week 1. With home field advantage this time around, the Hilltops held Winnipeg scoreless in the first half on route to a 42-15 final score.

Led by quarterback and Biggar native Hayden McMahon on offense, the Hilltops starter threw for 173 yards on 10 completions as it was five scores on the ground that got the job done for Saskatoon. CJFL all-star and Eatonia native John Stevens continued his strong season as well with 2 sacks to add to Winnipeg's tough offensive day
