Smoke continues to hamper Swift Current air quality

Swift Current is currently at a nine on the Air Quality Health Index.

The local smoke in the area has reduced air quality to a point where an alert for the region has come into effect.

Residents are advised to limit their exposure outdoors, and to take breaks indoors when possible if being outside cannot be avoided.

Symptoms from the smoke may include a cough, nose, throat, and eye irritation, or a headache.

More severe symptoms like wheezing, chest pains, or a more forceful cough should result in seeking medical aid.
