CEN (Chesterfield, Eatonia, Newcombe) Volunteer Fire Department had a busy end to the long weekend, responding to two separate incidents in the area.
The first call came in Sunday morning at around 8:50 a.m. when firefighters were dispatched to the Laporte area for a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision. CEN Fire assisted EMS at the scene, and one person was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Just two days later, on Tuesday morning at 7:03 a.m., crews were called to a single-vehicle rollover along Highway 44 between Eatonia and Glidden. No injuries were reported, and the scene was cleared by 8:30 a.m.
Kindersley RCMP attended both incidents.
