The Kindersley Jr. Klippers played their first home game of the pre-season on Tuesday night as they welcomed in the division rival Humboldt Broncos.

Icing a young lineup including local AAA players and 2025 draft picks, the Klippers scored each period to earn a 3-1-win against the Broncos ahead of a return trip to Humboldt on Monday for their second last game of the preseason.

A fast start for the Klippers saw local player and 2023 draft pick Pryce Thiessen scoring with assists going to Dinsmore's Cooper Flath and Kelan Simmonds to go up 1-0. The Broncos put up a barrage of shots in the first, but Klippers starter Mattias Radke made all 18 saves as part of 25 total on the night to continue an impressive pre-season.

The second period started with another quick marker as Malaki Martin made it 2-0 for Kindersley, assists going to 2025 draft picks Jaxson Squires and Bronx Becker. Radke was pulled for Jackson Dunn at the halfway point to mark the Klippers fifth netminder of the pre-season, taking the net as the Klippers killed off two penalties to keep the game scoreless into the third.

Humboldt's Carson Croteau scored a couple minutes later for the Broncos to get within two, but that was the Broncos only shot of the period as Kindersley shut their opponents down to the final buzzer.
