A "mind-blowing" round last Wednesday at the Kindersley Regional Park golf course ended another highly competitive season of men's night play in the West Central community.

The "Foot Wedge Warriors" faced off against "Kyote Ugly" in the Kelly Insurance Kindo Cup final to close out a long season, and it was the Warriors coming out on top after eighteen holes of competition.

The highlight of the match came on Hole #2 when Warriors player Jessey Pocock one hopped an approach shot from just past the red stick, an "electrifying" 67-yard hole out that helped drive his team to victory.

While that shot will go down in his memory books, it actually wasn't even Pocock's best of the week, as a few rounds later the men's night champion managed to sink his tee shot on Hole #8 to enter the hole-in-one books in Kindersley.

The final two teams emerged out of a group of 20 competitive flights, playing head-to-head all season long to earn a spot in playoffs.

The golfing is the smallest piece of the picture on Men's night, as another member of the Warriors, Colin MacDougall, wanted to give a big shoutout to the people who run operation year-after-year.

"The committee involved, President Kyle Wiebe and Vice-President Rob Andreas," said MacDougall. "The ladies' downstairs running the clubhouse, keeping everyone on time. Jim and the fellas' for keeping the course in wicked condition all season, and obviously Kelly Skappak and her crew of ladies upstairs at the Emerald Lounge for hosting everything."

There is only about a month of golf season left in Kindersley. Installation for the long-awaited irrigation project is set to begin soon after the equipment arrived in Kindersley to start September, and golfers may have to slice around it for the final few weeks.
