Some last-minute cancellations have come to the 36th annual Chestermere Country Fair.

On Tuesday (Sept. 2), the fair announced that they were cancelling the brisket supper and live music portion of the fair.

The music was initially set to showcase Joel Ostrom and the Tin Star Band, but was cancelled due to low ticket sales.

"Anyone who bought tickets will be reimbursed," wrote the Chestermere Country Fair on its social media page.

Despite this, the annual fair will still feature mutton busting, craft beer tasting, zucchini car races, and the popular Red Ribbon Competition.

There will also be a cornhole tournament, a harvest market, and plenty of rodeo events.

The event costs $10 per person, or $25 for a family of four, with tickets available either online or at the gate.

The Chestermere Country Fair is the longest-running annual event in the city and is put on by the Rocky View Chestermere Agricultural Society.
