Did you witness or have video of a daylight assault?

The Fort St John RCMP is investigating a severe assault causing bodily harm and is asking the public for their assistance.

On September 1, 2025 at 2:40pm, the Fort St John RCMP received a report of a man who had been assaulted near the intersection of 99th Avenue and 98th Street in Fort St John.

Frontline police attended and located the single male victim, laying on the sidewalk, with obvious facial injuries. The individual was transported to the Fort St John Hospital with serious injuries.

Because this incident occurred in broad daylight, the Fort St John RCMP is requesting that if there were any passersby in the area at the time, who may be able to provide a statement about what they heard or saw happen, to call the RCMP, said Constable Chad Neustaeter, Media Relations Officer for the Fort St John RCMP. Also, if there were any drivers in the area who may be able to provide dashcam footage of the area around that time, that could prove to be incredibly valuable.
