Phone service outage hits Rainbow Lake and Chateh

Residents in Rainbow Lake and Chateh are facing a major phone service disruption. Telus says customers in the affected areas are unable to use mobile phones, landlines, or the internet. The company is aware of the outage and is investigating, but there’s no estimated time for repairs.

Officials are reminding people that 911 is still accessible by mobile device. In some cases, calls may drop, so residents are urged to use the Emergency SOS via satellite function on compatible devices if needed.
