It was a big evening for Sacred Heart Academy as they celebrated a quarter of a century in Strathmore.

The 25th anniversary celebrations took place outside of the school on Thursday (Sept. 4) evening. Students, parents, school staff, and alumni were all present at the event.

Some alumni, such as Evan Fullerton, now have children of their own who attend the school.

"It's a little bit surreal. One of my kids is taught by the teacher who taught me, so it was kind of a Groundhog Day effect for her," said Fullerton. "It's a good community, the teachers are great, I had a great education, and now my children are getting the same privilege."

The event featured games, activities, and a free BBQ - along with school staff creating a family tree for students and gathering recipes for their 25th anniversary cookbook.
