A man is facing several charges after Kyle RCMP stopped a vehicle that fled from police back at the end of August.

On Aug. 30, officers received a complaint about a northbound vehicle on Highway 4 near Kyle. The vehicle was later located on Highway 342, but when officers attempted a traffic stop, it fled.

With help from Swift Current Traffic Services, police were able to stop the vehicle safely. The driver is now facing multiple charges, including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and driving while prohibited. The charges remain before the courts.

Kyle RCMP also responded to a well-being check in Rosetown during the early morning hours of Sept. 4, transporting an individual to hospital for care.

Police say they continue to enforce traffic safety in the region, issuing 67 traffic-related charges during the reporting period.
