A new library has appeared in Strathmore, and it’s just for dogs.

Earlier this week, resident Dawn Gibson-Kuzel posted on social media about a “little free ball and stick library” set up along Cambridge Glen Drive.

She shared images of her dog looking into the library and playing with one of its many free toys.

“Winston got a nice surprise on his walk Monday morning, especially since I keep forgetting to buy him more tennis balls,” Gibson-Kuzel said. “We walked past the free library again Tuesday night, and he knew what was in there and wanted another look inside.”

Gibson-Kuzel also thanked the creator of the library for their creativity and consideration, with several other residents praising the idea in the comments.

The dog library is located in a labelled bucket attached to the little free library on the road, which also offers a leave-one, take-one book exchange.
