Estevan racing fans will have the chance to see thrilling Enduro races this Saturday at the Estevan Motor Speedway. Unlike traditional racing classes, the Enduro allows participants to take older cars, make basic modifications, and compete on the track.

“The Enduro is unlike any other racing event,” said Brad Pierson, president of Estevan Motor Speedway. “It’s fast-paced, exciting, and gives everyone a chance to experience the thrill of racing.”

Nearly 30 drivers are signed up for the event, with organizers hoping to reach even more by race day. In past years, up to 50 cars have taken part, though harvest schedules can affect participation.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 finishers, with first place taking home $1,000. Additional awards include $100 for the first car out of the race and $100 for the “nicest car.” Entry fees are set at $125.

With some rain in the forecast, safety is a priority. Pierson noted that Enduro cars do not have the full safety features of traditional race cars. “We want it to be fun, and we will slow down the track if needed,” he said. “It makes the race more challenging for drivers and more entertaining for fans.”

Tickets can be purchased online or at the track on race day. The speedway’s concession will also be open for fans, and volunteers are still welcome, with organizers encouraging anyone interested to contact them via the speedway’s Facebook page.

The Enduro offers a chance for both drivers and fans to experience the excitement of motorsports right here in Estevan.
