Hollywood actor Chris Pratt is encouraging his followers to take time to be still and pray.
In a post on social media this Sunday, Pratt posted a video and simply captioned it 'Be still...'
"Hey, guys, just stop real quick and pray with me," said Pratt.
In the video, Pratt offered a simple prayer, asking God for calm and focus.
"Lord, you say be still and know that I am God. In this moment, please Lord, calm my restless mind. Quiet my anxious heart. Help me set aside distractions and choose what gives life and gives peace," Pratt prayed. "Lord, fill me with the strength to turn my attention toward you, that I find rest and joy in your presence."
Pratt, who recently announced he’ll reprise his role as Mario in the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy movie, urged fans to put down their phones and take in the beauty of God’s creation.
"Okay, now you can continue scrolling, or you can turn your phone off and go outside," said Pratt. "Might I suggest the latter? Go get some sunshine. Go look at a tree, touch some grass. Call a friend."
Known for his bold expressions of faith, Pratt wants to see others taking a stand in their faith and living in the moment.
"If you've got time to be on your phone right now, you've got time to do your to-do list, and you've got time to reach out to somebody in need."
