It was a terrific night for football in Kindersley
Categories

A few games had to be postponed, but it was still a terrific weekend of football around West Central. Kerrobert and Unity added a tally into the win column looking at six-aside play, while in nine-aside play, the Delisle Rebels earned their first win of the season to create a logjam behind Humboldt.

Starting with 2A six-aside, the first game of the week kicked off Thursday in Unity, an all-Warriors matchup with Maple Creek in town as Unity took care of business 56-20. In the other game Rosetown took a 7-0 forfeit win over Eatonia, leaving both them and Unity undefeated at 3-0, while Eatonia and Maple Creek are winless, those two groups going head-to-head this weekend.

1A six-aside didn't start until Friday night in Kerrobert, where the Rebels took a 43-22 win over the visiting Plenty Wildcats. That ended up being the only conference game with Biggar and Macklin's matchup being postponed.

In 9-aside play, the Kindersley Kobras hosted the Delisle Rebels under the lights and fell 34-14 despite taking a 14-7 lead into the half, both teams moving to 1-1 on the season. Earlier on Friday the Humboldt Mohawks defeated Maple Creek 84-12 to stay undefeated, while North Battleford's JPII Crusaders were on a bye this week but are also 1-1 to sit tied with Kindersley and Delisle entering Week 4.
