William Charles Lavand July 14, 1971 - January 7, 2022

With his family by his side, William took his last breath and passed away peacefully at 9:33 PM on Friday, January 7th, 2022. He was 50 years old.

William is survived by his siblings his older brother John Paul Lavand Jr. and his two sisters Margaret Lavand and Claudie Indian (Jason), his son Ryan Little (Mann), his grandchildren Dion, Bond, Pussy and Brayden, his nieces Jenilee Williams, Kylie Lavand, Jacie Indian, Dawn Coffin and Terra Ransom, his nephews Dino Williams, Jeffrey Indian, Jonathon Lavand and Harley Ransom, his great nephews and nieces Taydan, Travis, Kai, Kinlen, Dalton, Jayce, Jeremy, Zach, Grace, Raven and Kaylee.

William is predeceased by his parents Bessie and John Paul Lavand Sr., his sisters Yvonne Williams and Frances Bunting and brother Marcel Lavand.

William loved to travel and could always be counted on to be an extra driver for one of the many spontaneous trips that his family would take him on. He told his sister Margaret that he wanted them to make a return trip to Crazy Horse in South Dakota.

His favorite band was Iron Maiden. He was happy that he got to see them live in concert in Winnipeg.

Another one of William's other favorite things to do was gamble. He liked going to Club Regent and McPhillips Street Station in Winnipeg where you could find him playing Blackjack at one of the tables or he had favorite VLT machines that he would only play at because he used to say he knew when they paid out.

There will be a traditional wake will be held at the Golden Eagle Bingo Hall at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 10th, 2022. There will be a traditional funeral service at the Golden Eagle Bingo Hall at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022 with Langford Ogemah officiating.

Cremation will follow through Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre.
