UPDATE: This section of the highway has reopened.

Motorists traveling wanting to travel from the Kenora area to Winnipeg may want to rethink their plans.
Manitoba 511 has confirmed that the TransCanada Highway from Hadashville into Winnipeg is closed.
The closure is due to an Alberta Clipper making its way east from the prairies creating white-out conditions for drivers.
Kenora is expected to receive 10 to 15 cm of snow today along with 60 kilometre an hour wind gusts causing areas of blowing snow will reduce visibility and result in slippery road conditions.
Environment Canada is saying poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
