The latest COVID-19 numbers are in.
Currently, 1,584 Albertans are in hospital with the virus, including 118 in intensive care.
Twenty-six deaths were reported on Friday (Feb.4), bringing the total to 3,634 since the start of the pandemic.
In the past day, 2,086 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in the province. There are 32,711 known active cases in Alberta.

Several acute care, continuing care, and supportive living facilities in the area are currently experiencing outbreaks of the virus, including:

Since Dec. 23, there have been 15 deaths due to COVID-19 in the area, including two in Fort Saskatchewan, four in Sherwood Park, three in rural Strathcona County, two in Morinville, three in Sturgeon County, and two in Lamont County.
Vaccinations
The total per cent of the population over five immunized with two doses as of Friday:
- Fort Saskatchewan: 81.1 per cent
- Sherwood Park: 86.3 per cent
- Strathcona County: 80.8 per cent
- Sturgeon County West (including Morinville): 76.5 per cent
- Sturgeon County East: 74.5 per cent
- Lamont County: 72 per cent
A total of 8.34-million doses of the vaccine have been administered in Alberta. 89.9 per cent of the 12+ population has received at least one dose, while 86.2 per cent have received two.
