In yesterday's winner take all game three between Eston and Outlook in the SVHL, Outlook came out on top 5-3 for their second straight win against the Ramblers after losing game one. Outlook will now play the Kyle Elks in the second round of the SVHL playoffs. Kenaston and Dinsmore play in the other series in the SVHL playoffs.
Eston is still alive in provincials against the Kindersley Sr. Klippers, with game one set for Kindersley on February 21 at 5:30 pm, game two back in Eston on February 25 at 8:30 pm and game three if necessary back in Kindersley on February 27 at 5:30 pm.
The Wilkie Outlaws completed the three game sweep of the Biggar Nationals last night at home. Wilkie got out to a 3-0 just over the half way point of the second period, and never looked back, taking the game by a final score of 5-2. Garret Cameron led the way for the Outlaws with two goals and an assist, and Blake Young also had a goal and two assists in the series clinching victory.
In the other game played in the SWHL last night, Edam knocked off Hafford 5-3 on the road to take a 2-0 lead in that series. The 3 Stars also jumped out to a 3-0 lead, with two goals by Brody Roach in the first period. Scott Thomson got two in the second for the Hawks to cut the lead to one heading into the third. Then the teams traded goals in the third before Cody Danberg sealed it in an empty net for the 3 Stars. Edam will look to wrap up their series at home tomorrow night at 8:30.
