An Alberta Clipper that barreling towards the region is expected to drop between 10 to 15 cm of snow by Sunday morning.
Environment Canada says the snow, which will be heavy at times, is expected to start this afternoon and will continue to fall into Sunday morning.
As a result, a winter weather travel advisory has been issued.
Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
