The Shell Theatre is getting ready for a night of fun.
Atlantic Canada's Còig is a music group known for its fiery Celtic style. Made up of multi-instrumentalists Chrissy Crowley, Rachel Davis, Darren McMullen and Jason Roach, Còig shifts between century-old tunes to original and upbeat compositions, featuring the band's range of over a dozen instruments.
They've managed to make a name for themselves by playing traditional music in a non-traditional way.
The group has been nominated for several awards and won Traditional Album of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2014.
Còig will be performing at the Shell Theatre on Monday (Mar.14) at 7:30 p.m.
