The Fort Saskatchewan U16 Rangers took home some hardware at provincials this past weekend.

Held in Grande Prairie, the Rangers came out of the round-robin with one win, one tie and two losses. This put them in the bronze medal match against the Calgary Flames.

The Rangers got the ball rolling early with a goal from Braxton Patenaud less than five minutes into the first period.

The Flames tied up the game shortly after the second period began, but from there, the Rangers dominated the rest of the game. Jesse Li, Dylan Puk, Ty Van Brabant and Ryan Heuser all scored in the second period.

Both teams scored once in the third, with Evin Bossel getting the Rangers' final goal before the game ended, resulting in a 6-2 win for Fort Saskatchewan.

Rangers goalie Devon Weleschuk made 48 saves.
