Leo Harven Sage Smith “Bah koo nay ahn nih Kwat” Lynx Clan September 11, 2002 – March 16, 2022

Leo passed away tragically in Whitedog, Ontario on Thursday, March 16, 2022 at this residence.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Leo and Louise Smith, his spouse and unborn daughter, aunties Eva Mary Michaud and Stacey Campbell, uncles Harvin Smith, Ernie Smith and Salio Campbell.

He is survived by his parents Harvey Smith, Evangeline Geyshick (Sheldon Land), his siblings Benny Bigblood, Jermain (Leah Hunter), Jamie Waldon, Harvey Fisher (Jacqueline Kent), Dakota Geyshick(Elizabeth Diaz-Lopez), Deyton Geyshick, Kieran Smith, MacKenzie Smith, Makayla Smith, Liam Smith, Rina Fisher (Marcel Muckle), Adrian Kakeway, Dawn lee Paypom, Travis Smith and Mackenna Land. He is also survived by his great grandmother’s Maggie Keesick and Ida Rae, grandparents Karen (Gordon) Geyshick, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, relatives and friend too numerous to mention.

Leo was an amazing person who had a quiet nature, was very approachable, would offer assistance to anyone in need and had the most infectious laugh. He enjoyed sports and fishing, he would give all of his attention to whatever he was doing, his siblings admired him, he enjoyed his work and learning new aspects of construction and carpentry. He loved his friends and family, was extremely smart and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Leo took on a role to help his family as a stable provider for his siblings, he and his older brother were always reliable and responsible.

He was a great young man, he was a brother, uncle and son. He was always there for anyone that needed help and he always had a smile when helping others as well. “Love you Leo”

Wake service will begin on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 12:00 pm at the Whitedog Community Hall. Traditional Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 with burial to follow in Whitedog First Nation.
