Benjamin Adam James Boisvert “Ogemah Binessa Oniquat” February 18th, 1992 – April 14th, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son Benjamin Adam James Boisvert, who passed away on April 15th, 2022 at his home in Bald Indian Bay.
Benjamin is survived by his precious daughter Mika Powassin (mother Delaney), mother Jennifer (Fred): loving sister Felicity: father Dennis (Myra) step-brother Jason: Grandfather Jerry(Sharry) Boisvert: Aunt Sherry: Aunt Tracey(Parambir)Oliver and Sophia: Uncle Ken(Tricia): Uncle Edward (Candy) Marvin: Chloe, Lily-Anna, Little Marvin, Leo, Pinky Anna: Barrie, Elycia: Hayley; Uncle Sammy (Elayne), Damien (Candace)Kaylee, Shayse, Meia: Darius, Serenity, Samara, Favian, Sammy Jr: Uncle Danny: Ronan & Shayne: Cousins Collin and Klay: Great Aunt Marjorie: Aunt Pamela (Sharif). Benjamin will also be sadly missed by family and friends of Wauzhushk Onigum Nation.
Benjamin is predeceased by his brother Billy, sister Aliyah: loving maternal grandmother Marcie, loving paternal grandmother Sheesheeb: loving Uncle David and step-brother Lucas.
Lil Bear was a formidable commercial fisherman all his life. He loved the Lake of The Woods and the outdoors. His daughter Mika was the love of his life and as a single father he made sure much of her needs were taken care of. He always stayed close to home at Bald Indian Bay but loved his occasion outings to the city to gamble and enjoy the city with his dad or mom. His Uncle Danny was always nearby and treated Ben as his own.
A Wake Service will take place at the Golden Eagle Bingo Hall on Friday, April 22, 2022 starting at 8:30 a.m. A Traditional ceremony will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022. Interment to follow at Bald Indian Bay Cemetery.
Pallbearers his best friend Jesse Paypompee, Big Ben Fox, Barrie Skeid, Brad Fox, Calvin Delorande, Tarl Delorande and Lil Ernie Delorande.
