The City of Fort Saskatchewan is looking to inject funds into local non-profits.

Applications for 2023 grants to local non-profits opened at the beginning of May. Any local non-profit that supports the community broadly can apply for the grant program.

“The City of Fort Saskatchewan recognizes the important contributions our local non-profit organizations make to our community,” stated the city.

Fort Saskatchewan does not have a set amount allocated to grant funding each year. Instead, the total amount of funding fluctuates based on local needs each year.

Non-profits were allocated $341,692 in Budget 2022. The Families First Society, the Saffron Centre, and the Fort Saskatchewan Multicultural Association were among the recipients.

“If you are a local non-profit and have a community program, event or initiative that you would like to have considered for funding, you may submit a grant application to the city for consideration in the 2023 budget year.”

Grant applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on June 15. Applications can be mailed, emailed, or dropped off at city hall during regular business hours.

To send by email, submit the application to communitygrants@fortsask.ca.
