A Bon Accord councillor is stepping away.
As of Tuesday (May 10), councillor Cory Roemer has officially resigned from town council. He is moving out of Bon Accord and according to the municipal government act and the local authorities election act, municipal councillors must live in the local jurisdiction.
"We wish Mr. Roemer and his family all the best with their future endeavours," wrote town manager and CAO Jodi Brown.
The rest of council will be determining when the by-election will be held during Tuesday's (May 17) meeting.
