One of Portage's parks has reopened after being closed due to vandalism.
Director of Operations for the city, Jocelyn Lequier-Jobin, speaks about the decision to close the park.
"So, we had quite a lot of glass that was smashed in the Splash Park area. We closed it (the park) for a couple of days because we needed to have a full crew over there. It was more than a one-person job to clean it up, but they did clean it up to the best that we could."
Though the park is now open, Lequier-Jobin notes that she wouldn't recommend going barefoot.
"We have had problems with glass in that park and some other places as well in the past, so it's hard to make sure we get every little piece of glass that could be scattered in the grass area. So, Thats something to watch out for."
