Fort Saskatchewan RCMP arrest man for sexual assault involving a minor

A 54-year-old Parkland County man faces several child luring and sexual assault charges, and police believe there could be additional victims. 

The Fort Saskatchewan RCMP’s General Investigation Unit says Stephen Cote began communicating with a 14-year-old victim via social media in early 2022. 

Cote has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and child luring.  

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 19.
