Update: Unfolding police incident in St. Albert

Police were asking the public to avoid the northwest quadrant of St. Albert between Giroux Road and Ray Gibbon Drive on Friday afternoon (May 27).

According to the RCMP, the area was contained due to a man in distress.

The incident was reportedly in one apartment unit. No one was injured.

"There are no public safety issues at this time," the St. Albert RCMP said in a release.

Pedestrians were also not allowed in the area.
