It's officially summertime at two iconic seasonal destinations.

The Kin Family Spray Park in Fort Saskatchewan is now open for the summer. The spray park features animal-themed spray equipment and runs daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Admission is free, and there are washrooms and picnic tables located on-site.

You can find the Kin Family Spray Park at 95A Ave Westpark Drive, Fort Saskatchewan.

After two years of pandemic disruptions, the outdoor pool has reopened in nearby Redwater for the full summer season. It was closed in 2020 and delayed opening in 2021 due to staffing challenges and changing public health rules.

"Pool will open Friday, June 3rd 2022. Public swim 4 p.m.-8 p.m.!" The town announced on Facebook.

Swimming lessons have also returned, with lessons taking place over three days; lessons start on Jun. 6 and run until mid-August.

The Redwater Pool, located just north of the campground at 5223 49 Avenue, is open from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 1-7 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Admission is $3 for children 3-6, $5 for youth (7-17) and seniors (55+), and $7 for adults.
