Redwater RCMP held 'Coffee with a Cop' to get to know the community better

Redwater RCMP is making an effort to get to know the people they serve better.

On June 8, 'Coffee with a Cop' was held at the Redwater Legion. The goal of the event was to discuss concerns and share ideas about law enforcement in the community. 

"It went alright. There wasn't a huge turnout, but the people that did come were concerned community members that had a lot of good questions," said Jeff Sehn, detachment commander for the Redwater RCMP. 

"It's just valuable to promote a good relationship between the local RCMP detachment and the citizens that we police." 

Future 'Coffee with a Cop' events will be posted on the Town of Redwater Facebook page.
