The Ravenwood Music Festival in Sherwood Park is back for 2022.

A music festival celebrating local talent is back at Broadmoor Lake Park.

The Ravenwood Experience Music Festival is back as an in-person event this Saturday (Jun. 25). After its inaugural event in 2019, COVID-19 moved the festival to a virtual format for 2020 and 2021.

This year features artists including Joe Nolan, Donita Large, Sarah Smith, and Shred Kelley as the headlining act.

"It's an incredible line-up from start to finish; an incredible day of music out in Sherwood Park. The great thing is, you don't need to fly to some far-off locale to enjoy a great music festival. It's right here in our backyard," said Bill Roberts, president of the Music Society of Strathcona County.

Organizers are trying to make the festival a family-friendly one this weekend; a family fun zone will be a major feature, as well as vendors, food trucks, and a beer tent for adults.

Tickets cost $55, and you can re-enter the venue with your wristband. Robert noted that many parents plan to bring their children for the activities in the daytime and return later in the day for the main acts.
