Environment Canada says rain, at times heavy, will continue across portions of central Alberta Thursday night (June 23) and into Friday morning.
Total amounts of 40 to 60 mm are likely before the rain tapers off Friday morning, with up to 80 mm possible in a few localities.
The rainfall warning is in place for communities such as Fort Saskatchewan, Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Ardrossan, Gibbons, Bon Accord, Redwater, Lamont and Bruderheim.
