BGC Fort Saskatchewan is looking to give meaningful employment experiences to youth this summer.

From Jul. 18 to Aug.18, BGC is looking to partner with local businesses interested in mentoring youth employees.

In lieu of provided a paycheque, students are required to receive an honorarium at the end of the program.

Interested businesses will partner with youth aged 14-17, so they can learn about what the businesses do, gain real-life experience and create local connections.

In order to participate in the BGC youth employment program, a local business must:

  • Provide a work placement for one youth.
  • Provide mentorship and support to one youth.
  • Give 20 hours of work each week for the duration of the program.
  • Provide a $250 honorarium that will be matched by the BGC

The BGC will also provide social media exposure to local businesses participating in this program.

If your business is interested in participating in the youth employment program, the BGC can be contacted at 780-992-0103.
