First degree murder charge laid against Sundre man

A first-degree murder charge has been laid against Solaimane Elbettah, 27, of Sundre. 

Sundre RCMP was called to the report of a homicide at a local business on July 4.

Upon arrival, officers located 19-year-old Josh Burns of Sundre deceased at the scene. 

Elbettah was located close to the scene and was arrested without incident.

Following the first-degree murder charge, Elbettah was remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled on July 6 in Canmore Provincial Court.
